About

The Growing Place, Naperville

We've been nestled on Plank Road since 1936. Beyond our small front lawn lies a botanical garden-style nursery on more that 4 acres, brimming with well-labeled display gardens and a vast selection of plants, accents, and containers.

The Growing Place in Naperville is located on Plank Road in northeast Naperville. If coming from I-88 exit at Naperville Road (Exit #57) and follow the signs to Naperville Road (Naper Boulevard) and head south. Continue past Ogden Avenue and turn right onto Plank Road. We are located three blocks west of Naper Boulevard on Plank Road.

The Growing Place, Aurora

Started from bare ground in 1989, the Aurora location has grown into a garden oasis for all who visit. The trees are maturing and the gardens are thriving. Our gift shop is located in a historical landmark — a farmhouse, circa 1860, we moved to the property in 2000. Kids and adults can let their imaginations run free while exploring our display gardens, especially the hidden garden over the bridge!

Our 18-acre Aurora location is also home to our production facilities where we grow most of our perennials, annuals, herbs, vegetable plants and mums for both locations — making our plants very locally grown!

The Growing Place in Aurora is located on Montgomery Road, two blocks north of Ogden Avenue and 10 minutes west of the Fox Valley Mall if you are traveling from the east. If you’re traveling from the west, we are only 5 minutes east of the Route 30/Route 34 intersection.
