Let Us Help You Days:
Join us on the third Saturday of each month at our Aurora location for a day of instructive sessions. We offer a variety of classes and workshops that provide ideas and information to help you enjoy your yard and gardens. All classes are free. Workshop fees will cover the cost of materials. (fee)

Learning Garden Strolls:
Stop by either location on the first Saturday of each month for a stroll through our learning gardens led by a Garden Coach or Garden Designer. We will feature plants that look fabulous that month and offer tips on combinations, care, design, pests, diseases, etc.  Coffee and donuts will be served.

Kids Digging Days:
Bring the kids on the third Saturday of each month to our Aurora location. We will offer a variety of activities that should be fun and educational and encourage kids to love nature and gardening.
The Veggie Patch:
All edibles classes will be held in the Veggie Patch unless weather is inclement. We welcome your participation in the patch—ask for more details. We will thank you with vegetables and herbs! This is a test garden for many varieties of tomatoes and other vegetables.

Fall Fest!
Aurora
The focus is on family fun! Find a huge selection of pumpkins, gourds, squash, and more grown by the Future Farmers of America. Proceeds from the sales of these decorative and edible vegetables as well as from the activities will go to the Somonauk chapter of Future Farmers of America.

Visitors can take a hayride, explore several crafts, have their faces painted, go on a scavenger hunt, and more. Treats include the locally famous hot dogs and brats from the Wurst Kitchen, roasted sweet corn, and Dick's warm, fresh donuts.

Containers: Create & Plant a Unique Scarecrow Container
Bring old shirts, overalls & containers or use ours to create a fun fall decoration! Fees cover the cost of materials.

Traditional Country Music Trio. Kids can be part of the percussion section!

1 pm Edibles: Tomato Tasting It’s back! Sample some of our many tomato varieties, rate them, and share which kind you love best! Results will be gathered and shared with you.
2:30 pm Bees are our friends:
Learn about how important bees can be for plants and more! We’ll tour our beehives and talk with our beekeeper Harry Patterson — bee expert, teacher, and Mr. Wizard — about how bees live and produce honey.
