Just stuff it! We can plant succulents in almost anything! Choose from a variety of traditional and unusual containers or bring your own (BYOC). We'll feature a large variety of these easy plants you can mix and match.

Make and Take: Miniature Gardens
Both locations, Anytime between 12-3pm, cost of materials

Delight in the magical world of miniature gardens! Choose from a selection of containers, tiny plants and diminutive garden accents.

From Garden to Table: Our Favorite Recipes & Tips
Saturday in Aurora; Sunday in Naperville
Short sessions on the hour from 12 - 3pm

Discover the pleasure of cooking with food you've grown yourself. We will share some of our favorite recipes and growing tips from our veteran staff. This weekend we will focus on the first tomatoes, cool crops for fall like kale and broccoli, plus companion herbs.

Terrariums let us enjoy a bit of nature indoors. Accent your creation with a selection of miniature garden pieces, stones, bark, seeds and more.

Growing Rewards Member Celebration: Beer and BBQ
Aurora, 12 - 5pm

Kick back, relax and enjoy at our annual 'thank you' celebration! Emmett's Brewing Company will be joining us offering beer tastings from 12-3pm. We'll have tasty BBQ and Rockin' Johnny will be playing the blues. Special sales and raffles for Growing Rewards members. Fun summer games for kids and adults.

Make and Take: Paint a Garden Peace Pole
Aurora, 12 - 3pm, $65

You've most likely seen the colorful peace poles that we sell. Now you can create your own long-lasting and unique piece of garden art! We'll paint a 4-foot PVC garden pole with outdoor paints to place anywhere in your garden beds. Please call 630.355.4000 to register.

Fall is a great time to plan for winter interest. Discover which plants, especially trees and shrubs, offer the biggest benefit to brighten our winter days.

From Garden to Table: Plant an Herb Basket, Recipes & Tips
Saturday in Aurora, Sunday in Naperville

Short sessions at 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, and 3pm. Discover the pleasure of cooking with food you have grown yourself. We will share some of our favorite recipes and growing tips from our veteran staff. This weekend will focus on fall salads, beets and herbs for stews and soups. Plant a basket of herbs perfect for fall and winter harvest (cost of materials.)

Fall Fest
Aurora, All Day

Bring the family for two days of fun! Activities include: hayrides, children's crafts, games, pony rides, and more. Enjoy traditional Folk Music from the Dona Benkert Trio. Celebrate the simple pleasures of the harvest at The Growing Place in Aurora with pumpkins, gourds, squash, corn stalks, and tasty donuts and smoothies from Dick's Mini Donuts.
