We work closely with our clients to personalize each yard and garden to make sure your vision becomes a well-planned reality. Our design professionals are deeply rooted in The Growing Place tradition of planting the right plant in the right place to keep them thriving. We strive to create innovative sustainable landscapes that complement the natural environment. We use a broad selection of plants to satisfy every garden style. From a home consultation for a small garden space to a complete master plan, our designers are ready to offer you complete horticultural solutions.

Walk-in Advice

Stopping by The Growing Place is a good first step for small, simple areas that you will be installing yourself. This is a short visit as time allows. Our Sales Staff will help you set goals and determine key plants and procedures for implementation. You will need printed photos and measurements and information about the area. A detailed questionnaire is available to help you determine your needs.

Design Advice Days

On selected days throughout the season, appointments can be made for design advice. Designers will assess your project and help you select plants that fill your needs. You will receive a plant list and instructions showing plant placement and spacing. The $50 fee includes a coupon towards a one-time plant purchase.

NEW! Landscape and Garden Coaching

A home visit is often the best way to assess your landscaping situation and gardening challenges. The Growing Place's expert staff will consult with you on design solutions, plant placement, plant identification and selection, plant health care advice, maintenance tips and more. Fees: $95 for the first hour and $50 per hour thereafter.

Scaled Drawings or Photo Essays

We start with a home visit that includes a consultation to discuss your project, as well as measuring, documenting and photographing the site. This is followed by a project presentation at The Growing Place. Your Project Packet will contain a scaled drawing with plant pictures and care information or a photo essay. A scaled drawing is a must for anyone who uses our installation service and for projects that require more detail. Project fees start at $175.
