Garden Treasures Gift Shop
As many of our visitors exclaim, we have very unique and interesting garden accents and nature-related items to help you bring nature indoors. Our inventory is constantly changing so occasional visits will offer new discoveries.
A few of the things we are excited about this fall are:
We have an ever-growing group of artists that display and sell their work in our shop and gardens. They are selected by our staff to be high quality and unique while being a good value for you.
Some of you may remember the crystal doorknob garden stakes that were so popular in 2008. The artist had trouble finding the doorknobs until recently so… we now have them again!
Our fountains have been selling extremely well this year. We have found a source that can provide us with expensive looking ones at very affordable prices. Stop by either location, we have a great selection still available.
Looking forward to fall and the Holidays…
Our Container Garden Designers will be creating beautiful fall and holiday wreaths, swags and containers. If you have a container you would like to have our Designers re-do, bring it in or call us and we will come out!
We still have a very nice selection of containers. Ask us which ones will work for holiday decorations.
Our Holiday Shops will be open November 1 through December 23. Monday-Saturday: 9am-4pm
If you would like advice on how to re-vamp your tired summer container, feel free to come anytime and ask one of our talented staff members for suggestions or head to the class on August 21, 10am, at our Aurora location, or the class on September 18 and 19, 11:30am, at our Fall Fest in Aurora, to add a creative touch for fall.
We will have Bittersweet, Sunflowers, Wheat, Millet, Oak leaves, Twig wreaths, and much more beginning late August.
Pumpkins, what an understatement! We sell close to 50 varieties of pumpkins, gourds, squash, corn stalks, broom corn, Indian corn, and more, grown by the Future Farmers of America. The selection is awesome! They will be available beginning with our Fall Festival on September 18 and 19.
Look for many other fall decorations too.
October Saturdays…
Enjoy Fall Fun at the Farm from 10am to 2pm at our Aurora location. They are a fun blend of crafts, free hayrides and treats that will appeal to kids and adults alike.
October 2… Make a Stepping Stone, $12 or free with a purchase of $50 or more between now and then.
Big Green Egg
Known as the "World's Best Smoker and Grill" this heavy-duty cooker is made to last from innovative ceramics. It can grill a steak, slow cook a brisket or even bake a loaf of bread. Fueled by natural lump charcoal, it cooks in less time while keeping meat and poultry juicy and moist.

We’re thrilled to offer this fuel efficient grill. The Growing Place stocks three sizes, plus all the accessories, charcoal, spices, and rubs. This spring, we will have cooking demonstrations and tastings on the third Saturday of the month as well as at our special events. It makes a great gift for anyone who loves to grill!
