Whether you’re expecting trick-or-treaters or hosting a Friendsgiving party, we have a beautiful selection of fall decor for inside and out. From glass pumpkins and candles to corn stalks and straw bales to pumpkins and gourds, you’ll find everything you need to create a stunning look for fall. Here are some of our favorites along with some tips on how to use them both inside and outside.

Corn Stalks

Corn stalks make a dramatic statement for a front porch or stoop.  Secure them to your porch posts or use them to flank your front door.  Nancy, one of our designers at the Naperville location suggests adding a wire rimmed bow to give a pop of color to the cornstalks.   Their grand stature are sure to draw the eye of your guests.  Nearly every part of the corn stalk can also be used for dozens of DIY projects.  Use them as table decor, wrap them around candle jars, or thread pieces together to make garland to drape on your mantle, railings and door frames.

Straw Bales

Straw bales can be festive as well as functional.  They give all the fall vibes when used for decor on your front porch or stoop.  Our small bales can be used singularly for quaint spaces, but larger spaces, Nancy suggests stacking the small bales in an offset design.  Either way, straw bales are a great way to add a variety of height to your decor.  Our large bales also serve as festive outdoor seating for your guests.  Straw bales can be used as planters as well.  Take out a section of straw, add some of our Potting Soil Mix to the hole and plant an arrangement of ornamental cabbages and fall annuals directly into the bale.  When your done with the straw bales, they make a terrific addition to your compost pile or used as mulch around your plants to protect them over the winter.

Dried Materials

We have a wide selection of fall dried materials that add an element of texture and design to any decor, says Nancy.  Our dried materials can be used in wreaths and swags, added to corn stalks and straw bales with an ornamental bow, or inserted into fall containers.  Dried materials look great in vases or used for a centerpiece design as well.

Pumpkins

Pumpkins & Gourds

We have a variety of pumpkins and gourds that can be used in many different arrangements to add to your fall decor.  Our flat ones can be stacked to add height or used as a topiary design for your planters.  Pale green and white pumpkins look great with neutral tones for a soothing color pallette. Coating your outdoor pumpkins and gourds in hairspray or petroleum-jelly will keep critters from nibbling away at your design.  Our mini pumpkins and gourds are perfect for centerpiece arrangements.  You can also turn any ordinary pumpkin into a one-of-a-kind pump-cculent.  Large pump-ccuents make beautiful centerpieces while the small ones are perfect for table place cards that your guests can take home.
