Garden Art Saturdays in July

We are excited to be featuring several different artists on Saturdays in July this year at our Naperville location! Since starting the Gardener’s Art Fest over 20 years ago, talented, local artists are chosen because they either make pieces for the garden or make pieces inspired by nature. This year, our garden art event is now more available to all by offering four days in place of one! Join us once or multiple times to visit different artists each Saturday in July, beginning July 10th, and pick out your own handmade garden or home decor. Here is a sneak peak at what the artists are creating.

Artist Statement

Being an architect as well as an artist I can’t help but being drawn to painting subjects which encompass – “Structure”. Having thus stated that I must follow what is my definition of “structure”.  For me “structure” applies to not only the built environment, which may seem to be the obvious, but it also encompasses landscape, plant life, and the human figure, which explains my interest in painting all of these subjects.

In addition to painting a variety of subject matter, I like to pursue these subjects in various media. While known primarily as a watercolorist, I also enjoy painting in oil, gouache, casein, and acrylic.
